Dean’s message

The political science major is a major that studies the origin of political systems and their development over the ages, and it examines political ideas and international issues in an academic, theoretical and research manner. It includes the subfields covered by the major; Such as civilizations, political philosophy, political theory, national systems, international law, public freedoms, human rights, international relations and diplomacy. Political science is closely intertwined with other sciences. Such as economics, history, sociology, geography, and psychology.
It is no secret to anyone’s mind that political knowledge and the theories, analyzes and forward-looking visions associated with it are of great importance in today’s world due to the continuous changes and constant movement that our societies are witnessing, both at the domestic level, which are represented by economic and social transformations and the interaction of political forces with each other or at the external level, It is embodied by the regional and international developments surrounding the state that affect the core of its interests and objectives, and here emerges the necessity of a scientific specialization that takes it upon itself to monitor, follow-up and analyze these variables with an open mind and an innovative mind to diagnose the causes and put forward treatments and solutions to guide decision-makers and opinion towards seriousness of rightness away from randomness and hazy selection. This is the purpose of establishing this specialization by becoming a cognitive and practical support for statesmen and decision makers in their relentless search for optimal policies that achieve stability, development and internal peace.
Political science is considered one of the alternative solutions to strengthening state institutions, relying on new methods and patterns that contribute to building a society based on civilized behavior, and forming an educated scholarly elite that is not only satisfied with conceptual and theoretical frameworks only, but rather participates in political life through its involvement in all institutions, whether official. Or informal; This calls for great interest in this science, and opening the way for researchers and specialists to formulate plans and programmes that are able to keep pace with phenomena and reduce them.
Based on the above, the Faculty of Political Science at Soliman International University, with its human resources and available knowledge resources, seeks to be a standard model for a scientific specialization that blends theoretical principles and practical experiences with the aim of presenting an integrated vision capable of encompassing all dimensions of the political phenomenon.
